More often than not, the girls agree for having unprotected sex under the pressure from the male partner. The girls try to use the rhythm method, oral contraceptives in place of condoms just to please the boyfriend. Also, the peer pressure amongst the girls to stay “cool” and to not lose their partner to another girl, is also why the girls give in and take the risk of having an unwanted pregnancy.

The teenagers often are at odds with the parents for a variety of reason. They find the parents to be constantly embarrassing and as if the parents are the dumbest creatures on the planet. The same teenagers when become parents themselves, they might suddenly realize the wisdom of the parents.

Becoming a father is easy. To become a good father is not. Unfortunately, as soon as a boy realizes that the girl he had been sleeping with is pregnant, tries to run away from the girl leaving her alone to handle to the consequences of either aborting the birth or to become a single parent at a young age. In either case, the girl and her family are more than just devastated.

Some teenage boys however, take the responsibility and stay with the girl and promise to be a good father. However, with having not completed the education yet, these boys often do not have any income to support themselves or the new family that now needs extra medical and emotional care. As a result, as soon as the baby is born, the enormity of the situation is revealed and the new family ends up breaking apart, leaving the future of the new born in a limbo.

The very few teenage boys who take on the responsibility of becoming a father, do work hard and support the mother and the baby both emotionally and financially. However, due to the lack of education and experience, the income of the new father is not enough. To make ends meet, the education has to be cut off as one needs to devote extra hours at work. In such situations, the future of the young teenage boys, that could have been very bright and rewarding, suddenly comes to an abrupt stop forever.

Of course, when a girl becomes a mother, there are physical changes in her. A young boy may not find her attractive anymore and since there are more girls, available to sleep with, he is under a severe mental pressure of his own to break his relationship with his baby and the mother.
