I agree, making friends is one of the best things you can do to enrich your life. But when one is a teen, sooner or later, friendships start taking a serious turn. First, what starts with liking just being one another, it becomes more intimate in nature. Many girls do not give in to having sex, but that is what many do. You might be wondering that even after being grownups, relationships can never be taken for granted. Divorces are a common feature of our life. Children living with step parents is not a surprise these days. And, by the way, is that not so unfortunate? But we will talk about that some other time. If I were you, I would always want to take all relationships seriously. Friendships are always to be taken seriously. Now, taking a relationship seriously does not mean having sex or becoming pregnant with somebody’s baby. A serious relationship is when both the partners love each other so much that they do not envisage parting from each other ever in the future.

During the teenage days, however, the possibilities of choosing a different partner are immense. Before you know, your partner might find someone else and you might be left thinking what the hell happened here. Secondly, there are many scenarios when right after teenage you might have to part with your partner to go to a different college or if your parents locate to some other place. Therefore, since the age is so tender, people do enter new relationships quickly. As a result, when relationships break, they cause a lot of heart burn. Since this is more than not inevitable during the teenage days, why get into such a situation? When relationships break for good, people often do not even stay friends with each other!

When you are a grown up, you learn to understand people better and it is not easy then for someone to take you for a ride. Also, since the life during adulthood is more stable than during the teenage days, it is easier to maintain and nurture relationships during adulthood.
